That's amazing, are you sure this site is accurate?

I find it hard to believe I am riding one of only 13 Kr1'(s) in the UK

I think I may just take better care of mine  8-[

It's about as accurate as a blind man aiming and firing a scud missile.

Just had a look on my V5 and there is no model listed on it, although it does say Kawasaki, 249cc, and the VIN and engine nos both start with KR250A. Might explain why the DVLA hasn't got any listed; what is on other Tandem Twin owner's V5s?

Mine is certainly registered and taxed though!!!! :D
Stop annoying me, I'm running out of space to hide the bodies!

That link is useless really. It depends on what was originally recorded on the logbook. One of my tandem-twins is listed as as 'KR250-B1' (KR-1) and another one is actually shown as a 'bicycle combination', ie. a bleedin' sidecar outfit !

I've got one registered, taxed, MOT'd and running.
And another one registered and running, will be MOT'd and taxed soon I hope.
And another one registered but in a million bits for the foreseeable future.
And another one that's complete but is unregistered and I don't have any import paperwork.

I've got the DVLA history info for a couple of 'em, which tells me all of the previous (UK) owners, dates of transfer etc. You need a V888 form I think, well worth the £5 fee.

I did try and start a KR250A register once, but some people are (understandably) reluctant to give out their details. I'll give it another shot though if you want. I'm aware of about 25 in the UK but I don't know where they all are at the moment. The Owners Page on my site is several years out of date - I can only publish the info I'm given.

Tandem-Twin owners : let me know your engine and frame numbers, reg number, colour, how long you've had your bike, where it came from, contact details etc, and I'll collate it all. I won't share any of this information with anyone at all if you don't want me to. Either send me a PM on here, or an email to my KR250.ORG address.

No-one's been in touch yet Doug, except you. :? I'll happily collate details of KR's not in the UK too, if anyone might find that useful or interesting.

By the way, if you can't find the engine number, it's on the LHS of the engine alongside the rear cylinder. It's hidden behind the preload adjuster so you'll probably have to take the tank off to read it.
