thought it was gone..but its back,
Put my new hoses on today, changed coolant, warmed bike up,checked for leaks ...all ok.
put my gear on, locked house up, get on bike, great...
4 miles into ride, time to thrash it...
1st,2nd,3rd,4th..flying.....then dead, no revs pull in clutch.. engine revs
feed clutch out engine dies....bugger 4 miles from home...
think,think, long way to push...
yippee...disconnected clutch switch at lever and road home
when this happened last year i removed my side stand switch and bridged connecter and it was fine,
checked connector, fine, resistance there, checked all visible stuff all ok..
any ideas before i change my CDI am i missing anything?

the problem is that it would always be playing on my mind,...the sidestand switches are renowned for topping up with water and playing up so i was happy to bypass it,
but by disconnecting the clutch switch i will just be ignoring the problem not fxing it or really knowing what it is....
am i weird?

It's only there to stop the brain dead from starting the bike up in gear and then watching it fly down the road without them. I would just bypass it. Its most likely a lose conection.
