Post by satarn »

I have found an engineering company who is going to quote to make up KR1S engine cases in billet . If you are interested in a set please contact me by phone or message me . 07770 552666 Krishna . They are currently making TZ250 cases .

I hope this isn't too stupid a question, but what advantages would billet cases have?
I didn't think the cases were the weak point on a KR (I thought the barrels were the problem) and cases are not particularly scarce yet (they pop up on eBay regularly enough).
Cheers,
Mike

was it falconman who was experimenting with a longer stroke crank?
I think this would be a good oppertunity to experiment with different cranks

Unless you have a inherent design fault like the 5KE TZ250, billet cases are not needed.

I will hopefully be getting a ball part figure in July and if not to much a firm price by the end of july . It will give the option of a longer stroke and the use of other cylinders . Billet cases will be much stronger and will flex less under extreme load .
