Hi folks,
So I wanted to redo my front calipers on my kr1s 1990 ich bought end summer.
I did this already many times on a certain number of bikes but I never saw caliper pistons like these.
What are those parts inside the pistons, what is their function?
Are those only "plugged" in or fixed?
Are they really necessary? as mine are a bit crumbly.
Thanks
Mouser

Re: front caliper piston
Think they're there to stop heat transference to the caliper, some still have them, some don't, all mine were in good condition so all are still fitted. Have you looked on fleabay, as I thought I'd seen replacement ones??
