kr250a crank seal isues
Hi guys i have just got my first kr and i am pulling it down to replace the crank seals because it was running smokey as hell and there was water in my oil to after inspecting the internals i found tiny little chunks of rubber everywhere threw the oil can soneone tell me how this could happen and where the rubber may have came from.

If both sets I.e. Right and left seals are un damaged I suspect it could be rubber spline boss on the rotary disc valve or possibly the large clutch gear has rubber sandwiched between the 2 gears or even the damper rubber that is behind the screwed metal plate inside the rh crank case check out stripping and rebuilding engine in the manual ignore the rotary disc comment that can not get into the engine oil
