Quick update I have now got a UK LC frame so won't be using the German frame so I have a 1980 "W" reg
Last owner acquired it in 1988 and last taxed 1991

Log book now in my name

Needs tie bar brackets welding on as it's an earlier frame ,side stand bracket badly welded on and the centre stand tube is a bit of a mess and a small dent in one of the tubes but apart from that

So plan is to get some tie bar brackets made or get some from a scrap frame,cut sidestand bracket off and have it welded on properly.
Cut out centre stand tube and have a plain tube welded back in,braze /weld dent,sort lock stops

Swings and roundabouts and all that

Need to decide how to get the chain inline as I have 8mm to make up

I already asked about what chain clearance is like with a 150 tyre fitted

If I just fit an 8mm offset front sprocket then the chain hits the frame

5mm front offset I think gives me just enough room ,so that means I will need 3mm off the rear sprocket carrier face.

It could be any number of combinations though as long as I can sit the chain away from the frame on the front and the tyre on the rear

for my KR1-SV bike, I had to take some material from the frame to clear the chain. there is enough so no prob

Now have a NOVA certificate for the German frame

Will still need to get UK registered and get an age related plate

It is the better condition frame compared to the UK one as that turned out to have a bit of rot on the lower sections but still hope to get that repaired some time (God knows when )

I have a rear RS wheel and it looks like the cush side will need serious engineering to get the wheel and chain aligned

like many of those conversions, it is just too long for the bike and looks like one of those stupid american lengthened swing arm

Trouble with the standard LC,they are just like a moped with their spindly wheels etc so if you can add a bit of muscle to them then that's a good thing in my opinion .

but if it were my bike I'd make a custom swing arm without the added length

I have some Lomas pipes for the LC and a while a go I was offered the Lomas GP style pipes( RGV 220 style) for a straight swop

I think I have had both sets for a few years now but the fella is coming next week to collect one set and he said it's up to me which set I keep

Still not sure but the GP style would be something different and I wouldn't have to fanny around with the sidestand position with these

I always feel like "something is missing" looking sideways on a bike and not seeing an exhaust. no "GP's" for me

Image works who do the decals have sent a pic of the slightly altered side panel decal , they have removed the "350" logo and replaced it with the "YPVS" logo which looks nice in my opinion
