Now I have your attention!
Everyone might know this but I didn't so here goes.
The rubbers from the airbox to the carbs were really hard so with some research and some trial and error I found this.
DANGER BE CAREFULL GLOVES AND GOGGLES REQUIRED. READ THE LABEL
You need wintergreen oil (eBay) and rubbing Alcohol 95% or 75%
Mix 2/3 rubbing Alcohol to 1/3 Wintergreen oil.
Put the rubber in to soak for 24hrs check if it is soft enough. If not give it another 24hrs. Don't leave it too long as the rubber expands.
Well it worked great for me so I hope it help someone out.

Re: Softening Hard Rubber
I did it when I first got mine, worked a treat (but I did get the mix a little bit wrong, saved them in time as the surface started to blister a bit!) Sadly about 15 months later now they're pretty solid again, not as bad as when I got the bike but getting there. I've dropped a good spare I got off with a supplier who's going to quote for new replacements.

if it's just the carb-to-aitbox-rubbers : heat them with an electric heatgun : they become soft and can be manipulated to put them on.
My ultimate goal is to die young as late as possible !
