Hello i was just out for my monthly(if im lucky) ride, when while still warming up nasty noises that i thought was top end death.Anyhow not the top end,no apparent damage so took off clutch cover, nothing again.Anyhow the crank will only turn about 98 deg back and forth freely.when the crank stops it feels kinda like it should!! not like its snaggin.
There is a slight dink on the left of the crank that i think is previous.
Any insight??
Thanks martin

Re: gear box???
Turns out 2 be the bearing on the balancer shaft which is not apparently not a separate part No.
And the balancer is Nla .I thought the crank bearing might be a punt as looking at the Kawasaki drawing they look very similar, any thoughts?

Re: gear box???
The balance shaft can be separated and rebuilt if you know an engineer with a press nearby.. measure up the bearings and get replacements, and might as well do the oil seal at the same time.
