The Aprilia silencer has three threaded studs that line up perfectly with the flange on the kawasaki chamber. You do need to open up the silencer entry diameter to suit the flange though - needs to be increased by about 3mm.

Yeah, they are still $99 but only green or red were available when I checked a couple of weeks back. The Aprilia silencers were free and hence I wanted to see if they were a viable option.
Beware of those $99 end cans of ebay. I bought a pair, nsr ones, holes are different so had to drill new holes on chambers. The looked fantastic, growled like a bitch on heat, but the rivets tore out within only 2 weeks. When I pulled apart the mufflers, I found that the rivets went straight into carbon looking material with no steel ring as support to the rivets and fibre look outer. In terms of quality construction, they make nice ornaments for the shed wall.
Other than putting a few kms on the bike (and putting the "bum stopper" on the correct way around - doh), not alot has happened since last April. The engine has been great and 1500km later all is still well. The front and rear suspension modifications have turned out really well for road use.
Other than that, the only other change has been a BAM Racing air filter support.

The JDM indicators are a bugger to find arnt they. Good job cleaning them up
Thanks. The only JDM indicators that I seem to come across are either (1) damaged, (2) the wrong colour and/or (3) worth more than my car; it made sense to get mine repaired, it's just taken ages to get around to it. Still a long way to go but some progress after all this time.
