As long as yours are still straight, your probably better off getting them re-chromed, as your going to struggle finding any NOS ones.

As ScottaKR said, it'd be better to get yours rechromed. In the UK Philpots are keeping all our old bikes on the road, is there anywhere near you that offers a similar service ?

I do not think rechroming will fill in the pits, wouldn't the new ones in the ebay listing, work?

I don't know if they'll fit or not.

You'd be surprised what can be restored. Pits aren't a problem, even slight bending can be rectified.

the rechroming process does not just mean a coat of chrome philpots grind back the tube until its below the pitting then apply chrome back to the original diameter approx. £100 per tube, I need to get a pair of AR125 tubes done, ouch but the only answer.

I might look into it, thanks for the info.

I want to get the bike on the road to see if the forks leak, as it seems the pits are above where the seals ride.

heres a close up of the pits on the fork tubes that are listed in Japan, they are like mine.

if the pitting's above the seal running area there's no problem, I read an article in cmm about repairing pitted areas with araldite and smoothing them back, I have tried it and it worked for a while, you really need to clean the rust right out to get it stick proper.

Surely there are companies in the US that offer a similar service?
