Simple really.......
While I was wasting a couple of days trying to get a 3mm stainless steel washer down to 0.5mm and removing most of the skin off my finger tips, only to achieve 1.2mm.

Martin said "why not do it the easy way, fit the washer as a spacer and take the excess metal off the large spacer which is much easier to hold and work with"

10 minutes later, job sorted :)

If anyone wants any A2 stainless steel 35mm OD washers, just drop me your address :)
Just need drilling out to suit the M12 fixing.

Cheers,
Bernie :)

still I wouldn't do it that way.

i'd tighten the other engine bolt firmly and then measure and make excact spacers as to have no stress on the rear mount. I agree though it's minimal and it's easy for me to say as I have a lath

If only I had a workshop with a lathe and a milling machine and a good pedestal drill

But I don't, it is a good tight fit :D

I think I am going to just clean the wiring loom by hand, the washing machine seems a bit extreme (and the thought of being caught by the missus)

Warm wash?
Detergent?

I did a warm wash and put a soap powder tablet in the pillow case.

when it came out i still had to get a cotton bud and a bit of wd 40 in the end of a couple of connecters.

Decided to try this now, no alcohol involved :^o

Tied it into an old bed sheet, 40 degree stains sound about right?

It's making quite a racket, Reckon it's trying to get out

Great tips in these threads, your bike looks amazing Bernie, a lot of work gone into that.
I used to be undecided, but now I am not so sure.
