F3 valves

I'm new to the site.I live in Australia.The Kr-1 is a rare bike over here.I am looking for a set.My knowledge of the bike is not real good.Will these F3 valves fit a 88 model Kr-1.If do how long before i receive and how much in Australian.By any chance they don't fit can u reccommend some where else. 8)

welcome to the forum!

These will physically fit your KR1. But to gain the maximum from them you would need to remove (with a dremel) a ligament (hope this is the correct english word for it) in the KR1 barrel. Will post you a pic so you can see what I mean.

A set of valves will cost you (incl p&p) 152Euros, these are approx (correct me when I'm wrong) 246 Australian dollars.

All valves from the first batch are sold now, in order to get a second batch produced I need 10sets to be ordered. If you want a set too, I'd still need 4 sets to be ordered. So I can't say atm when these will be ready for shipping.

Perhaps one of the other aussie guys (Lee, Simon) can tell how long the shipping took?

charles just the pic i have been after seeing as im going to be modding my 1 Barrels.

removing it free's up flow within the barrel thus improving performance?

Thanks for the info.It might be easier for now to put the original ones back in.As we don't have much summer left over here.Be nice to get it out of the shed.Will do the change over winter.You wouldn't know were to get sum original ones.I snapped the top off one,were the bolt srews threw. :D

not much summer left? you are in australia right?

kips valve pulleys

Hi charles,
just a qiuckie, i have been directed to your good self by other members re kips valve pulleys, the ones on the barrels of the kr1s, as you maybe getting the guy that made the f3 kips valves to make a batch.
Is this cprrect or just heresay as i would be very interested in a pair.

we will be making a batch of pulleys/levers soon. Will visit Herbert on Tuesday and ask for a quote and will then start a new topic on them to see if enough people will be interested....
