The front end from top tree to tire has been gone through.

Calipers for front and rear should be done at the powdercoaters this week.

I've got the rear off. Wheel bearing and seals out.

Then it's tire off, strip the white, bead blast, polish, and powder to match the front.

On to the swing arm, shock linkages while the rear wheel is off to the oven.

The good news is I might have it back on its wheels by the time all the parts trickle in.

Still missing:

Seat
Radiator hoses
Oil tank cap
Lower engine mount spacer
Chain and front/rear sprocket
Headlight
Battery

And probably a dozen other little bits I've not noticed yet.

No idea what I'll do for fairings yet.

You should not have any bother getting those bits:

Seat - always available on ebay or ask in the wanted section.
Radiator hoses - ebay silicon ones available.
Oil tank cap - wanted section
Lower engine mount spacer -wanted section
Chain and front/rear sprocket - ebay
Headlight - wanted section
Battery - ebay
Body work is always available on ebay (except top fairings)
Try Ard they do a good quality replica (with headlight cutout) or try one off another bike to give it a different look.

Working on the rear wheel. Of course it's a 18".

Eventually I'll probably go to a 17" for the usual reasons.

I believe I have a perfect match in a later 17....

Will at some point mock it up.

It's made by the same folks who made the KR1B wheels for Kawasaki.

Standard fitment on the 1999-2002 Kawasaki ZR7

It's slightly wider but exactly the same pattern spoke, casting, rim shoulder profile etc.

The swing arm on the ZR7 (zr750) is 24 cm while the kr1 is 22 so a bit of investigation yet to go.

I think it holds promise. Swapping the back without having to do the front to match wheels.

The RGV Vj22 on the right is one of the most commonly used 17" three spoke rear wheels.
I think quite a few people have changed from the KR1 swinger to the KR1S as it accepts a wider tyre.

Yeah I've seen that and done a bit of research.

The rgv doesn't match the front. I'll keep everybody posted.

I know the ZR7 has the same front as a ZX6 '95-96, so it may weel be that is has the same rear, and that one won't fit

I seem to remember the zx6 1995 - 1996 having a 18" tho I might have fuzzy memory.

The ZR7 is running the Enekei with a 17" 160

The ZR7 uses the R-1351.
