It still maybe relished as I brought the kr1-r
And collecting tomorrow morning if it is genuine she will be coming home with me
Going be restored back to road use by myself & afew friends
Fingers crossed she is the real deal

Yes I did b everything checked out to be correct and present
A long road a head bring it back to it former glory but i think it's going well worth it

Nice score there!
Would be a cool track bike with all that racing history. I'd love to get a set of the kit pipes like that. Will you be keeping them on or fitting stock pipes for a full resto?

Gecko KR-1R...
it will be interesting to see if it has kit cylinders on it - check numbers/resonator
seeing it had what is presumably a kit CDI 21119-
1279 (21119-1275 was OEM JDM)
it has the best forks of the period and trickest pipes
I think you should keep these mods, just stick an original fairing back on and some road gear
I think you'll have more enjoyment as a road bike knowing how rare it is riding it around, and riding to gatherings

mick [kopite 30] dropped off his kr1r rare engine off at mine today.
thought I would post these photos to prove mick has a genuine kr1r [you can see by the number after
removing the resonater chamber.
mick has asked me not to disclose anything when I sort the engine, so if anyone wants to know anything, they must contact mick

And I should know as I ride a faultlessly built engine from Martins stable.

Think it's just the auxillary exhaust ports that differ on those cylinders. Bit bigger than kr1s unless someone has been in and done some tuning.
