Just a quick one, When you sling that 17" rear in and use the shorter tie rods Or the R6 shock then you can rub the chain against the Chamber, I found slapping a 14 on the front gives the clearance you need. but then you have to sort yer ratios out, I know a 14 / 40 is good for a long straights, and the 42 seems to be good at cader's Ill probaly end up with 40, 42, 43, and for the short circuits a 44 rear.

well the cylinder repair looks to be working fine. A nice slow heat input and cool looks to have done the job. I'm about half way though it ATM and all has gone well so far and the nickle bore looks fine :D

just come across this old chesnut searching through old posts!! elf,. out of curiousity did the repair to the barrel work??

Yes it did, to the extent of my skill limit. In the end I found a second problem with the cylinders (knacked head Helicoil threads) so I had them removed, welded up the holes and re-drilled and tapped.
