My money is on the ZZR600.
The ZZR600 ran a 160/60-17 rear wheel from 1990 to when ever it was deleted??? And shame on you Kawasaki for deleting the ZZR600 cos it was a fantastic do everything bike
The buggers

Ooh & yes Janbros is right the 550 ran an 18" rear.
But both the 750 & 1100 Zeph's ran 17" rears, some even had spokes

Yeah I know crazy, but this is why we all love the big K, the (censored)'s
And
Just out on curiosity how much you think this bike might be worth it has 20k miles and is a 1992?
Priceless

Does look alot like the one in the pic. Like to see how it handles compared to a standard rear wheel. This is my first bike over a 125cc and I'm loving it so far at first I seen it in a motorcycle garge and didn't have a clue what it was or how sort after they are. I just like the looks of the bike after I bought it then realise that loads of guy kept Saying you dont see Many of them any more and how you mange to get hold of one of them. So I googled and found that they are abit of a collectors item I paid £1700 for the bike is that a fair price ????

Looking at pics of that zzr600 I think it's one of them spokes are the same and same gunmetal colour. I quite like the grey back wheel breaks it up abit whats your opinion keep it grey or spray in green or go for a kr1s rear wheel (pizza cutter)???

a ZZR600 wheel will never fit a KR-swing arm.

You're right Jan, I have tried. The hub is about 3" too wide, not even close.

Ok so if its not a zzr600, what about a different style of zzr250 rear wheel?
I have a zzr250 rear in my shed but it looks nothing like the one on adams bike.
However the zzr250 rear is a more realistic fit with a tyre size of 140/70-17.
But that wheel still looks like a zzr600 job. Is the wheel from an non UK model zzr250

?
Can you actually fit a 160 section tyre on the Kr1s?

There will be a cast in number on the hub or on one of the spokes. It will start R for rear or F for front

then four digits.
We have a list (somewhere) not complete but with many of the cast numbers and the models they come from.If I can find it and you post the cast number I can look it up.
The other thing you could do, find the cast number and google it.
Kawasaki rear wheel R****
You never know.
It's not ZZR600 tho.

Right I think I have it......
Kawasaki Balius?
Don't think they imported it into the UK but because I love puzzles I have been doing a bit of Sherlock Holmes.
Apparently the Balius's rear tyre is a 140/70-17 too.
What do you think people?
