Called today and he said he's been delayed and hopes to have them complete by the end of the month.
Must be getting closer now, arrrrh!

Those of you who know me and were closely involved in this project, will know I got mugged off by the first supplier and had to find an alternative source.
The final ratios we settled on were as follows:
1st 2.333
2nd 1.636
3rd 1.316
4th 1.130
5th 1.000
6th 0.926
This was achieved by changing 5 gears on the standard transmission.
The picture above is missing the roller bearings for 1st gear.
1st, 2nd and 4th gears are changed on the standard output shaft and 5th and 6th gears changed on the standard input shaft.

Ellis Moore has been producing replacement gears for RGV250 and RG500 for quite some time. I have his gears in my RG5. Top quality gears. And at that price an absolute steal. Compare that to £2.5k plus for an RG5 nova gearbox .....
