No, depending on what you're fitting, a front end swap would normally be better than the standard forks.

what Smithy is saying, is to highlight the importance of having a good well serviced suspension underneath you, makes more difference to the handling and therefore lap time, than a tuned engine would.

What front end do you have for it?

i'm doing/saying all this without having actually laid eyes on the bike, its still been shipped to me.... should be here ~on/by next weekend... lazy bastards.

when i said twisty bike, i mean a sub 100kmh twisty bike, light as possible with everything non essential gone. hope i don't turn away the purists, its the reason i bought this bike, because it was already 'attacked' so i wouldn't feel guilty about stuffing around with it.

with the road surface varying ALOT. hence my heightened interest in good suspension/steering.

yeah, the price was right basically, was looking at rgv's, rz's, nsr's then this popped up.... i've always liked the look of the kr250... love that upper exhaust.

can't forget all my positive experiences with my zx-6r (so much <3)... i do love kawasaki as a brand, but i try not to have brand loyalty when it comes to bikes.

eventually down the track i might just put a 500cc two stroke engine in this, but thats, far, far down the track.

In that case I would say, give the forks a service if they need it and stick a damper on it
