tried chucking in that battery eliminator thingy... didn't really want to work.... with the bike running and it plugged in, as soon as i put the lights on, the bike died in the arse, and the blinkers didn't work right. more parts arriving... splashed out on that shock too.... :o expensive... mm can't wait... took the bike for a quick ride up and down the street a few times (way to hard to resist) and i personally can't wait to get this thing into the local twisties with a better rear shock, good tyres the bike will be uber fun.

definitely falling for two strokes.... as i knew i would.

ignition arrived, and my tyres came in at the shop! woo

might have hit a major, MAJOR snag in this project... i put it in at the local kawasaki specialist to get it road worthied... and looks like the nanny state of victoria strikes again, roadworthy guy says i need the original complete fairings on a motorbike for it to pass a roadworthy, thats everything, no mods allowed.... so flip that.

taking it to another place tomorrow, guy seemed a bit more relaxed about the whole fairings thing... flip nanny state. apparently they changed the rules lately... flip. so yeah, non-factory streetfighter/cafe racer scene just got destroyed.

Hope you get over this hurdle chap - at the moment were ok with mods in the UK (But wouldn't be if the flippin' EU had anything to do with it!)

Tell em it was modified before the state changed the rules - IE it's a spondon special so that's how it's supposed to be  - hopefully they won't have a clue.

Good luck anyway !

well this other crowd seem alot more positive about the whole thing.... didn't you know? the vic government hates motorcyclists. hopefully get the bike back in a week and a half in 'road worthy' condition, which will quickly change as i undo alot of stuff they have to do (specially round the numberplate area) then i can add/take the other parts ect. my new speedo/tacho arrived, so small :D main part i'm waiting on at the moment is the shock! do want.

one thing i've noticed is, no one has ANY idea what bike it is. what year, its a total enigma until i tell them, even then they still have to ponder it, if i say KR1s over the phone, they think i'm talking about a dirt bike... i just say "the kawasaki version of the rgv" that gets alot of "ah"'s
