Progress has been slow lately, mainly becasue I have been waiting for this to be completed.

Here are the pictures of the rear brake caliper and hanger/spacer completed as previously designed.

Total weight of new brake assembly including pads was 677 grams.
Total weight of original brake assembly excluding pads was 1516 grams.

Roughly a 0.9kg saving of unsprung weight.

Looks like you have more than halved the weight of your rear disk too !
Great stuff .. It looks like factory =D>

Yeah the disc and the wheel are lighter too Shaun, glad you like it.

I'll clean it all up, start assembling everything and take some better pictures when I get a sec.

Been a little busy in recent months, so this project had to take a back seat for a while. I am back on it now and did a little work this weekend.

Since I finished the rear brake, I needed to polish the swingarm and start assembling the rolling chassis.

Here's how the rear brake turned out

Here's the complete rolling chassis.

Lozza is trying to talk me into a Rotax 256, but there are a couple of problems I face with this at the moment, so it's probably going to be a high powered KR1-S engine with lots of trickery.

you already have an X-09
