you need to get a machinist take the taper out so it fits the crank and then position your pickups, so not a lot of work.

I am going to try some different pistons, from the flat top single ring Mito pistons to the TZ 3TC's.

I have an ignitech already, so will try a zeel on this one.

looks a right mess and yes I'll photograph the motor as I build it. Just started stripping it down today, as I'm taking the crank in next Monday and I want to take the cases for vapour blasting at some point soon.

That may well be the most advanced set of KR cases I have seen to date.
If it is what I think it might be what you call Liquid Metal should be a thermal barrier ;)

didn't know that it seems like a lot of work to do that.

There was info on thermal barriers on Pit-Lane web site. A place in the Netherlands sells the stuff. Aim appears to be to prevent heat transfer to the charge in the crankcase.

I thought it would be best used in the combustion chambers on the piston crown and head.

Shall we try it on my engine Mark?

Martijn Stenhouwer from Emot Racing offers that service but much speculation that it is common Russian house paint  Worked well on a 50cc engine though.

The $30 paint on ceramic coating will cause more deto than it stops. Got to look in quite a few works Aprilia RSA engines at the GP and didn't see any shiny gears

Just message me before you start the 110 rod engine Ben

I've just had confirmation today that my crank is ready to collect, so I can start work on the motor very soon, as this has been holding me up a little lately.

I have been working on securing the fuel tank and also done some further work to the swing arm.

It's a combination of my mate Rob, an engineer called Mike Tunnicliff, Nigel Kimber and me
