MG, Its the weld itself that doesn't look pretty seen close up! I'll fit one of seans filters, std jets, lid on to start. & pray thats ok. Because I've played carbs of & on & up & down the road before, :twisted: & personally would rather get my foreskin stuck in my zip, then repeatedly pull the zip up & down rather than do it again :shock: Scooble looked at that, & I think you should do it for function not style. It would be some job to make it look nice as-well as work. You may know ? but when bonding plasti card etc use two pack super glue. Put the adhesive on one edge position it where you want then spray it with the activator.... & Red never mind f%$king on with soldering irons, you'll probly only end up burning ya wa**ing spanners anyway. :lol: Get them radial forks sorted & on cause I think I'll go down the same route with bike 3 . The benifit of an air ram system, well the standard box is nowhere near big enough and getting enough air in even with 28mm carbs is a problem, let alone with 35mm carbs. The ram air is a way around this problem and yes you can tell a difference. Even if its was just 1 bhp at the top end its worth it as its free bhp. I use a straight tube (cooker hob ducting, cut in half and sandwhiched together) from between the rad and frame back into the airbox. Its a quick mod and its worth the little effort needed.

I do need to make a bigger air box sometime as I'm sure that having a even bigger volumn of cold pressurized air will benifit the engine even more.
