I managed to measure 2 pictures and work out dimentions.then gave side view dimentions to a lad in t drawing office.he sent me the 5 dfx files that i can email to people and gave em to my boss to do what ever he does to send the program to the laser.a nice bit of job delagation .the pyramid rolls i made are 2 x 30mm bottom roll and a adjustable 25mm top roll ..i just kink the edges first .otherwise u end up with flat spots .will have a go next week .

Just a bit of info regarding hydroformed pipes,
Pete Gibson developed some with Chris Noble back in the early 90's for sean emmets supersport 400 kR1s,they were designed to work with a tuned motor but when tested back to back against standard and nikons on a stock motor they gave awesome midrange, the nikons revved out further but less peak power, both outperfomed stock pipes.
The supersport motor peaked around 11500 and was putting out around 10hp more than stock between 8 and 11500.
Theorys abound on what should work better, but has anybody made anything that actually does this?
I use the gibsons on my b2 and they work really well, responsive, capable of pulling higher gears and free revving, very light and quick release, cant fault them.

We found the Gibson pipes took 500 rpm off the top but gave stacks of mid range. Probably a good road pipe but didn't work on track.
Nikon didn't match S pipes
Jollies lose 2hp at the top but better everywhere else
Lomas are the best gain everywhere have the over rev and massive midrange.

mark, atm i have nikons as you know. there nice n lite but im saving for some lomas. they look nice aswell. i do have some kr1s pipes that are gutted but i need to finish welding them up again. to be honest, i wish id not bothered but thats another story. how much midrange to the lomas make compared to the gibsons? i know nikons are far from perfect but they sound great with 35mm carbs!

had a constructive afternoon

all the joints where the cones meet seem to be sound so i can tack em up on the bike then tig them at my mates ,so the dfx files do seem to be good.i wish i could tinker around like this for a living if it wasnt getting so cold ide still be out there, but ime ready for a beer
