Possibly GARY is referring to what blow up doll lube he uses

you can bet ithat stuff is cheap enough theres not any friction modifiers in it to worry about

I use this one. No clutch slip, and the gear selection is far smoother than the mineral oil i used previously.

Putoline RS 75 oil

Post by smithyrc30 »

Looks quite good, not as good as Paul's stuff but pretty good:

Specifications API GL-4/5
Typical standard analyses
Density at 15 °C, kg/l 0,851
Viscosity 40 °C, mm²/s 48,11
Viscosity 100 °C, mm²/s 8,91
Viscosity Index 168
Flash Point COC, °C 191
Pour Point, °C -45

I feel sorry for Garry's gearbox.... :-({|=

Another positive for the Putoline GP10 is it's price, available on ebay for £8.50 a litre...

i've always used cheap mineral oil in my bikes gearboxes - it may be crap
but i've never had any problems with the boxes or clutch - and by the looks of it saved a lot of money along the way - i can live with a 1BHP loss - i don't think i will notice it :)

fortunately i have no need for a blow up doll \:D/
