Any advice on setting up KIPs valves? Do the marks on tne top go forward or across when setting up for the first time?

They face forward as do the flat sides of the valves shafts. Please read the manual, it's all explained there.

almost looks like a factory bike - are you planning on using an airbox or will you use open foam filters?

Thanks for the advice and compliments, lads! Makes it all worthwhile. Will be using foam filters. There won't be much room for airbox when the battery box and oil tank are fitted under the seat.
But it ain't over yet! Bleed nipple on rear calliper just broke off, don't know if any of the electrics (eg cdi, KIPs servo etc)are any good yet and there's bound to be more.

Hi y'all. Just hit a problem with the foam filters which I got for the bike. Bl**dy shock absorber is in the way. I think I'm going to need some sort of thin skinned semi flexible hose with a 50 mm inside diameter. Any suggestions?
And can the oil pump spring still be obtained?

Thanks Ali, might be a bit too flexible. My mate Ray is going to fabricate something today which will bring filters back and out at an angle of about 30 degrees. Should look good if a touch Harleyesque!

Anybody fancy popping round to sort the wiring on this bike while I nip down to the pub?
Seriously, looks real bad. Hard to tell what's what. Very little matches wiring diagram, loads of redundant wires etc. On the plus side a lot of major components still have connectors on there but even most of those have been botched.
Then got to find a way to mount headlamp and cowling. And could anyone post a picture of switchgear on here as I don't know what I've got? Sure don't look right to me.
Feeling a little disillusioned this morning so will seek comfort in the arms of John Smith and his extra smooth beer.

Thanks Vin. Getting close to first start-up now. You'll probably be able to hear it from where you are!! Don't suppose you know address of MoT place in Leckhampton? I've heard he's quite "relaxed" about noise level.
