Teerex are the barrels standard kr1 or have they been replaced with kr1s items.

Mitaka pistons look to be in good condition!

Apparently i have KR1 barrels and KR1S valves and pipes, so after talking to Martin i will be doing a cylinder mod to get better flow, and fitting 40 jets, it also has carbon fibre reads aswell i take it these are not standard!

Carbon reeds are standard fitment on kr's

This is the first time ever i have stripped a 2 stroke motor down, i hope it works after i have finished it

Done a little more polishing today, i will be chroming the the collars and powder coating the spring red, it need abit wore work as there are afew stone chips to polish out.

One question though, how are you going to keep a polished shock looking that good?

Are you going to lacquer it?

Hi Howie,

That is the question that anyone who polishes loads of bits never really wants to think about.............its shiney so the muck will just fall off

I have OCD lol, i spend hours cleaning my bikes and i actually enjoy cleaning them.

As for keeping the shocker clean, with difficulty i will soak a duster in t-cut the ring it out and thread it through the spring.

It maybe be up for sale when finished because i have not got a garage at my new house so it may have to fund that,

We will see what happens, it will be a last resort though.

So about me dropping my bike off at yours, any danger?

Wish i had that sort of patience i only wash them if i got dirty when i got on it

Actually i do the same with the car aslong as i can open the door without getting dirty its fine

Looks nice anyway even if it does make me feel guilty
