Hi, bernie, u should think about dumping the standard rad, and run with the yzf rad, as u are runing with the 300 topend , that,s what am going to be using.

Using a non standard radiator does defeat the objective of a full restoration.

Hi Bernie,
You have come along way,why not get it refurbished by the experts?I know it won't be cheap, but at least it will be in keeping with the rest of the bike. After all you have managed to do most of the work yourself.I take my hat off to you for your dedication.Your bike will look immaculate once complete and something to be proud of after all your hard work.

Hi Rich,
The standard rad is a sad looking little thing, and I don't think a couple of out of sight improvemnts are going to spoil it.
Big shiny rad ordered
Cheers
Bernie

Hi Wayne,
It is shorter than the standard unit, so I should be able to mount it higher to avoid contact with the fairing.
That will get looked at when I next get home. (and a polish)
Cheers
Bernie

It's the parts of the fairing that go back towards the radiator that foul on mine Bernie. The ends of the fairing catch right on the finned part of the rad. For mine to clear I would have to move the rad back by about 5-10mm towards the rear of the bike.
Yours may well be different though when you fit your fairing.
