Would have been back on it's wheels if I hadn't forgotten that the 1s rear wheel spindle is longer :oops:

This bike is definately like Trigger's brush now, only things left from the starting point which was this are the loom rear, mudguard, airbox and ignition barrel.

Cheers for the comments lads, electrics and rad on tomorrow and might stick the bodywork on for a quick look at what it should be like.

Jan, errr yeah those are a bit scruffy ordered some new ones, I promise to sort it all out evetually. :lol:

Lets face it, I'm becoming very 'sad' as my other half informed me when I spent the other night dremmeling the kips motor 'cos it was a bit mucky :lol:

P.S. Is that the original finish on the Nikon pipes? The paint on mine has crinkled itself to bits, they need a strip and re=paint now after only 2 runs!

Well your lucky on the paint finish, my paint was perfect but the spannies were slightly crashed damaged but I got two new middle sections made at work and welded in. Unfortuantly they cocked up the LHS exhaust and welded it in slightly out of line resulting in that exhaust sticking out at a bit of a slightly odd angle.

Suppose I had better take it back into work and get the bleeding welders to do the job right :lol: It says something when they cock up the homework job for the bloke who has to inspect and pass their high pressure welds.

For decent paint try Halfords high temperature barbque paint.

That's really nice, top marks for the work you have done, i must admit i do like the black frame. I have been thinking of doing mine ever since i saw Sean's RGV in black. 8)

I second the bbq paint for spannies, i used Plasti-Coat 3 years ago, and it is still perfect.

Plasti-cote bbq paint is the dogs for spannies, nice satin finish.
Col, yeah back wheel, front tyre, switchgear, grips and discs :lol:

I'm a few bits of another rolling chassis, so may start on another one eventually.

Laugh... Tell me about it... Today (whilst waiting for powdercoated frame to come back... have to wait a few more days for the correct head stock bearings grrrr....) I spent 1.5 hours polishing the aluminium bits that you adjust the chain tension with :D

Anyway, I have the tyres back on the rims now and they look great... More pics to follow!!!

Not really had much chance to do anything with the KR this week, needed my stand to put the LC on for new tyres so just lobbed the back wheel in temporarily. So here's a gratuitous shot of it on it's wheels and looking a bit more like :lol:

I have managed to sort out my raask rearsets though, I know some don't rate them but for those of use with limited machining facilities and the inability to pay £225 for beet ones there isn't a great deal of options. I've had them all recoated black (surprise, surprise) and fitted some new rose joints and put a rather large kink in the gear change linkage bar, all seems to work much better now, here's a very unforgiving shot.
