Thanks Marty,

The guy who painted this previously must have got a ton of filler cheap (and used most of it on this bodywork  )

Just need to check the paint codes (or if anyone knows of currently available paints that will do), then make sure I have the correct decal sizes, then I should be ready to drop the body work off to Steve 1st August.

Done a but more with the soldering iron....

Its in the right place, just needs to be cleaned up...

Been a bit quiet so....

I had to do all the plastic repairs before the painter could work his magic, I was just thinking about a comment that was post when first posted about the bike (My new old bike), and someone said they thought it looked alright before I started  if only

I have never done the old plastic welding before but it needed doing...

The seat unit was missing a few lugs and had a nasty fibreglass repair on the side near the lock hole, I had a donor seat unit that was well smashed up but still had all the bits I wanted intact, so I set about it with a hacksaw (I may have got carried away  )

Ooops got carried away...and cut the full side out...

One I prepared earlier......

And as if by magic....

I still have plenty of plans for after she has been to Japfest (it was a way of making sure I had her running this year)

Just waiting for the bodywork, decals, clear-coat and polish.

While I was waiting I thought I would fit my NOS left hand switch gear.. 8)
Image
(I have a used spare now)

I swopped my rear indicators for some spares I had, as the ones that were on had some minor damage (that I don't have the time to fix before the show).

I dug out a NOS rear seat pad (now fitted)

And these bad boys are just waiting to be fitted...
