I'm not 100% sure that was the original purpose, but they certainly do have a flat side to the OEM pipes. I don’t believe I lose any clearance with my pipes though.
At the moment they are very obviously there, but they won't stand out so much once it's all finished.
As for the seat - sure I could have gone for a later design in seat, but my thinking was, if KHI made a KR-2, it would have been in the mid 90's and the seat units didn't start getting more aerodynamic until later in that decade.
The bike should feel miles apart on the track, just need to get it finished.

I'm not using anything as a return for the rear brake pedal. The hydraulic pressure does it by itself.
