only 2 hours in shed because of the neighbours realy ,all rolled n tacked up to go tommoro evening ,
brazed a test section but think im`e going to tack with mig then tig weld with the pipe purged i recon, the braze is lovely n smooth inside and quicker tho
this evening i changed the mig welder to my small teflon liner torch i use for ally and a small 1kg reel of what i thought was steel wire (for better tacking up) ,turns out it`s sif bronze and it works a treat so ime going to mig braze it
getting a idea of shape
fronts done
glad i put a mock up chain on,i hear some pipes foul the run
well chuffed ,its ace working on this bike ,like being able to lift the front on to a stool to get some more room
already rang about them carbs ,ok for drag think he was told they need regular balancing ,hese talking with a uk firm when its all done n tested may get supercharged ,few years away me thinks
brazed up this afternoon ,need some quotes for black chrome or paint and exhaust wrap do you think it would be ok to take 4" of of those silencers ,i recon it would look better
Fantastic job on those pipes they look great, 4inch off the cans i think maybe a little too short, mock some cans up out of a loo roll tube and hold it up until you get the look you want.
It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice.
It will be interesting to see and hear how the exhausts perform, they certainly look the part.Maybe in the future make some more for forum members to buy?
