what was the conlusion of the holes in front of the pistons,i had a weird thought of if you taper the hole then pin it with a taper pin then very gently swage it in there ?

so the holes in front are still there ? ive been hunting around for different pistons and they have em ,but in my mind they`l lose crankcase compression (shall we start another thread on this)

I was going to fill the front holes. but Bernie was,nt sure that the alloy weld I use would,nt work loose, I also don't think the two small holes on the wiseco pistons would loose much power [am open to opinions]

Hi Fred,
All the 300s have them as they use Wiseco pistons.
What pistons are you using?
Cheers

carbs completely stripped then ultrasonicly cleaned/ new pilot jets/new main jets/new n99 needles/new gaskets for tops/new gaskets on float bowls and new bolts. [just waiting for the no 4 slide, then I can connect the cables and you can collect when you are in my area.

Many thanks Martin =D>

You have done a fantastic job, I should be in your area next week.

It would still be in boxes all over the garage, if I was doing it
