I'm resisting with Flagellation. I also want one of these pace rads of Sean. He'll have to encrypt the invoice ( Not that I'm bothered who reads it you understand ).
I know exactly what you mean on all the issues  I'm seriously considering a third KR, but a std one, but have my worries on how long I could resist temptation to meddle.

Anyway, my szr swingarm turned up today, here it is

other side

Initial looks show that it's a fraction wider than a KR one, but there is loads of metal available to remove on either side without impinging on the bearing positions. Looks like the bottom linkage mount is identical with the 4dl one (i.e. in the same relative position as the KR, but about 10 mm wider) som my thoughts on that was to use the KR dogbones with 2 spacers and a longer bolt.

Crankcases to pick up from Triple S tomorrow, zzr calipers due anytime now, Going to start thinking about bodywork soon, need to get that sorted.

Glad you like it fellas, wasn't quite sure how it was going to look.

Corrupting infuence-well some things never alter
This engine is going in the KR1 frame, cos they've both got black frames, but I do fancy a black and green std bike as well

Calipers, well to be honest I'm seriously thinking of more zzr ones, but it may end up with something else yet, saw a BMW is it that f650 thing that is the single? Looked like it was using Brembos on the front about 62mm gap I'd say...................... (Brembos who mentioned brembos to me..... ) Dunno yet, cos I've got zzr1200, cbr929, cbr900 and 2 pairs of kr1s.

And I still haven't made my mind up about a zx6r front yet, it's just I've got most of the 400 front sorted and it'll slow the whole job down, might get the bits and try it later.

Seemingly, they must mask off parts before blasting as the insides of the cases, barrells, head etc are completely unmarked and as they were before.

On one of the parts there is what looks a bit like a bit of resin, I'm just guessing here, but would think that all the mating surfaces are perhaps brushed with a liquid that goes 'off' to create the mask, then peal it away after coating? Dunno, but can't imagine doing it with tape.

Hopefully it will end up a nice tidy engine with an easy to clean surface.

Alan, I could start on about the football, but wouldn't know where to start, Newcastle or Liverpool, and lets face taking the mick out of either of those is bit easy cos they're managing to make a total bollox of it all on there own. King Kev  I'd just luv it  and the fat spanish waiter down on merseyside \:D/
