Hi Alan,

never!

I haven't got any trouble with my bike at all. The only trouble I have had is with the Tüv and with the bl**dy mechanic whose helicoil screwed up my spark plug/piston/barrel.
Up for a challenge Alan, let's meet up in Dover this summer with our bikes, then we'd both had approx the same distance to cover
cheers,
Charles
PS Sorry headcoats, don't want to ruin your thread, but Alan's started.....

That is one gorgeous bike you have constructed there Mr headcoats,I am green with envy.
May I also say that reading this thread has provided me (and others, probably) with the inspiration to finish my project as tastefully as yours,it truly is a bike to be proud of.
Thanks for taking the time to post your project.
Neil.

There are a few sets on fleabay at the moment and I'm so bored I've put a link to the cheapest ones below.
One,Two,Three,Four,Five,Six.
For what it's worth I am of the opinion that you should leave Elsie as she is.
On a side note;Have you got any larger pics of your bike hosted anywhere?
Neil.
