Yep that sounds right bernie, the confusion is with the f3 powervalves. I haven't been able to make a vid of the valves from up the exhaust but i have done more to the bike:

Fitted my gsxr 600 k2 calipers but the goodridge hoses that came with the bike look way too long in my opinion, what does everyone think?

Lol they must have been, they came with the bike and its been that long since i got it i forgot how long they were :(

For now i might use the hoses that came with the gsxr calipers and buy some goodridge when the funds allow.

Charles just picked up a 3 piece set of Goodridge hoses for a good price from the same supplier I used for my front two.

Incidentally, I paid about £45 for my fronts.

Update time!

Right got some more done to the bike:

Purchased and fitted goodridge front hoses (thanks Ben for the heads up on those :D )

Received a parcel from Danny aka KR1R from new zealand containing these:

Very very happy with them they are spot on, very pliable compared to the originals!

I made up two new throttle cables to go from the splitter box to the carbs as the standard kr1 ends wouldn't fit in the adjusters in the top of the carbs. Easy peasy!

Carbs settings are as follows:

Main: 155
Pilot: 42
Needle:DEL (middle clip)
Slide: 4.5 (may put in the mill to make them 6.0 depending on how it rides)
Pilot air screw: 2 turns out

For now i have removed the reed valve stuffer as i couldn't be bothered to file the hole to match the new reed rubbers but i will do that soon (or buy some v-force reeds  )

Carbs fitted (minus clamps):

The last pic shows the number of jets i have to play with, 110quids worth from allens, i nearly died when he told me the price!

I have mains from 152 through till 162, pilots from 40 to 48 and had to buy two DEL needles.

Put some fuel in her and she fired up!

The lomas pipes sound mint! Running a bit fluffy but shes running! Will tweak later!

Throttle cables need fiddling with as the slides aren't quite sitting on the stops and the left carb won't quite go fully open, i may put the oil pump cable back on so the the junction box is being pulled nice and square if that makes sense?

Otherwise i will get a splitter box that only splits into 2 cables :)

Nearly there!!!!!!!!

Will do a video when i've got it running a bit better!

Did a bit more on the bike last night:

Sorted the throttle cable, slides now go down to the stops and open fully too, still using standard kr1 splitter box but with new cables that go to the carbs, all seems fine!

Synchronised the throttle slides

Set the tickover on both using a 5.5mm drill bit under the slides.

Ticks over a little bit low at the mo but pilot seems a tad rich so will wind air screw out to see if this confirms and if so will fit 40 pilot jet instead of 42.

Top end wise, main seems too big, will only rev to just under 9k in neutral and smoking lots, running 40 to 1 premix,

Will get the chain fitted and go round the block to do a plug chop or 2.

But for initial settings, not too far off, revs fairly cleanly in neutral and sounds pretty crisp, can hear it four stroking a bit at the bottom and again at the very top, but all in all very happy!

What size mains do you have in at the moment and is it a standard KR-1S fuel tap you are using?

Looking fantastic BTW.

155 mains at the moment.

Yes standard kr1s tap but running on 'prime' due to non-existant vacuum stub on pwk35's

I could do with a more suitable tap that has bigger bore fuel lines to match the stubs on the 35's.

Does anyone know of a suitable tap that is a straight bolt on?

Cheers Ben, more bits have arrived in the post today so i'll be in the garage as soon as i get home from uni tonight!

I recall Mark Jordan saying something about the fuel tap and his being off a KR-1R, but he did suggest some others if I were to run PWK35's, but can't remember what off.

I'll ask him what he suggests.

I've had a search and its looking like a tz fuel tap should do the trick, i will contact Dennis Trollope racing to find out more about this.

Otherwise zxr400 could be a decent option it seems

He thinks the ZX9 fits, but needs a T piece adding.

I think the ZXR 400 have alot longer tube on the main fuel pickup that would be best shortened for a KR - and is only single outlet

fuel tap - the followeing is single outlet but can be modded with two elbows to be replica KR-1R
or simply deal with one quick disconnect on the fuel line and a tee piece into two closer to the carbs...
