you need one of the "latest models", meaning all the versions that look like the current one. not the old ones (up 'till 2002/3 ?).

I have one from the first years of "the new one".

Jan, thanks for your answer. So I can take every shock from R6 that built after 2003, right? That´s good news. I don´t have to put so much money in a Wilbers shock, I put it to your cylinder head!

Cheers

Similar to this by another forum member. And you will have to ream the top mount hole of the shock out (12mm springs to mind)

Have you considered having your kr1s shock revalved and resprung?saves the hassle of modding the airbox. Also the bike is designed to run on a standard airbox if you reduce it's size this will more than likely end up with carburation adjustment/hassle.

The R6 shock is also too long, so you will need longer dog bones

Thanks for all your answers! I didn´t know that the airbox need to be changed. I´ve thought about it´s like plug & play  .
I´ve got an offer for check & refill, polish the piston rod, guide bush, oil seal & backup ring for 175 €. I think that´s o.k. (and original  )
Maybe I put on a progressive spring but this is a little bit expensive. #-o I post some pics when it´s prepared.

Cheers

looking very nice christoph.

what kind of spring did you use a WP?

yes it´s a progressive WP spring (to get only in white or orange #-o - special colours against extra charge but it´s expensive enough) and a new stainless reservoir hose. I hope this can compete with my wilbers shock in my green one!
