LASCo cylinder sleeves

While researching cylinder sleeves for a non-Kawasaki project, I stumbled upon a listing for a sleeve for a "1991 KR-1".
I wasn't aware that LASCo made sleeves for the KR-1 or KR-1S, especially since the bikes were never officially imported into USA.

I only have KR-1 cylinders (no KR-1S), so these sleeves will not be an exact match. Has anyone used these particular sleeves before, or can otherwise offer any comments?

At first glance, these sleeves look useful for cylinders with broken spigots or other serious damage in the bore area (which would be very difficult and/or costly to have welded, machined and replated - although not impossible!).

I daresay it would be possible to use one or more variants of the Wiseco KX125 two-ring 56mm pistons (oversizes are available) to take full advantage of the iron bore. I think 1982-1986 KX125s had 56mm two-ring pistons. Anyone got any knowledge or experience of exactly which KX125 pistons are suitable?

I totaly agree.

I have about 8 badly scored cylinders. to have them sleeved would be the best solution and as you say, switching to MX piston's makes lot's off overbores possible.
But none of the KX piston's is suitable, unless you want to go for the dished ones.
better options are KDX125 or YZ125

You could ask for the bore to be 61mm and stick Wisco pistons in 8)

Thanks for the advice Jan & Bernie. I was hoping there would be an easy solution ( :? yeah, right!), but it seems that something will need modifying whatever option is chosen!
Another option could be to use TZR 1KT pistons (standard or oversize, as required) and have the domes remachined and lubrication holes drilled (similar to the Mitaka pistons supplied until now).
