yes with full fairing.
from fibreglass and the paint is bad.
I'm on the search for original parts.

the motor is good. [-o<
cylinder and pistons like new.
crankshafts are ok [-o< [-o<
I still need to check the transmission. [-o< [-o< [-o<
this is the Achilles' heel
the rotary valve are made of carbon fiber.
also I need to consider.
Jolly Moto exhaust is a dream. The sound is really evil. 8)
Power ... i have made only a test drive.
from zero to 7000 like a 750 4 stroke.
from 7000 -????? just incredible.
i have there really respect.
somewhere between  and

They are quite bonkers with 127 dynojet hp, not sure if they could ever be disribed as 4 stroke in terms of there power delivery though.
I have some parts to sell, send me a pm with the parts you need.

'd love to have the engine, but way too expensive . not only to buy, but also when it goes wrong or when it's "big overhaul time" 'cause its x4 instead of x2 :(

i know what you mean Jan the engine is lovely but it has the same problem as the early kr1s with the pistonringpen.

@Begbie

very very nice bike =D>

Ok like a 4 stroke is an insult
till ~ 7000 like a "Kettle" ... better ?
thank you for the offer.
if I need something, i'm send you pm
hp..my bike??? in don't now. i think enough...
Modifications: Jolly Moto, modified Airbox, modified intake timing.
special approach washers for the piston pin with precision grind for higher rpm (Jolly)
unfortunately no oil pump.

gear unit I have inspected. it's been reinforced :D

@Jan
yes that is true :( but i am a optimist :) ... if necessary...
...i can sell my wife
RG's are not as expensive as in UK.
but expensive enough....... in fact sick for a nearly 30-year-old motorcycle....

@Jarno
the solution is (same as the KR1) to change the piston regularly.
all 20000km.
Crankshafts are good for 30 to 40 one thousand kilometres.
i am an optimist. [-o<

regards
Dirk

Nice Dirk,

I had one in about 1990. It had already been tuned when I got it. It had expansions and there were some notes in the handbook about modified disc valves (F1 does that sound right?) and jet sizes. It had the airbox but wasn't running an air filter.

I used to ride it to work and back through town traffic and it used to oil the plugs. I remember it running poorly at one point so it took it down the M3 to try clear it. Got to 120 sitting up and backed off because it didn't cure it.

I found out the next day there was a midge blocking the main jet of one of the carbs.

120mph on 3 cylinders sitting up - not bad eh

I am a former RG500 owner, although mine was standard (apart from serviceable silencers). However, this may be of interest:

good morning

drove yesterday.
the engine is simply a stunner. 8)
almost too fast for public roads.
but I love the silly faces by not a few big bike riders.

what bothers me .....
it is almost impossible to find at the traffic lights idling.
the the clutch must always be pulled.
pull the clutch lever is very heavy.
I always have to carefully turn of the primal gear to the second gear.
unfortunately, a weak point in the RG.
the KR is worlds better.

the motorcycle fairing is almost ready.
