I used to be undecided, but now I am not so sure.

Yes they had not taken care fitting it, this can cause some loss of oil pressure, NOT GOOD.dmac wrote:Good stuff, another project to follow

Re: Guess what!!!
I've been busy today,
I picked up my engine parts from Martin my mate at MK Engineering, He removed 2 broken bolts from the cylinder head for me and put some ali on some broken cooling fins and a broken crankcase for me so I could dress them up back to shape which I have done.
All by myself without the supervision of a responsible adult !!
Here are some pics for ya.
Tomorrow I will be taking the engine to Tockwith near York for soda blasting then painting in the correct silver all ready for me to start putting it back together when I have saved some more pennies.

A new poster for my garage wall once I've blown it up to a man sized poster!
And this is my vision for my bike.
Shiny isn't it! I LIKE SHINY ME.

Re: Guess what!!!
Just finished rebuilding the clocks, I have fitted NOS casings, fuel gauge and Rev counter and I'm happy with the result.
Now to make a new wiring loom from scratch
I won't be drinking any Scotch while doing this though!!!

Re: Guess what!!!
Been shopping and bought this NOS fuel tank from this happy looking chap, it is still in the original box and stunning.
I will be living on beans for a week or two now though
As for my engine it is at York getting ultrasonic cleaned then soda blasted ready to then be taken to Scunny to be painted in original suzuki silver then NOS casings and whatever is needed on the inside, I'm getting there.

Moving forward
I should have my wheels back on Wednesday with polished rims and painted gold,
The engine will be delivered back on Tuesday ready for paint.
