Hello Guys

thought start up a new topic with a rebuild because it's a bit quiet around the rebuilds.

this engine is from a friend of mine and it is using alot of engine oil so time to change the seals.
and because it wil be split i wil change the crankbearings, gearboxbearings, engineseals, powervalves,
aswel so it wil keep me busy for some time.

started to split the engine and noticed that the LHS cilinder was complete brown the pistons are also not normal and the head showes some heavy carbonbuild up.
my friend sayed that the engine was running fine but i doubt it.
the pistons and the cilinders where changed and done 12000 km ago so the pistons wil be changes aswel

the crankcases show some damage at the RHS i think something hard maybee sand past there
tha crank is totally in great condition apart from the seals.

alredy cleaned the cases in the ultrasonic this morning and i think the came out great

now it wil be waiting for the crank to come back and the parts i ordert and then the rebuild can start.

Jarno thanks for posting , you cant beat a bit of engine rebuild porn on the dark nights. Since Gary Bernie and Ben have finished theirs its good to see some rebuild threads.

I've not quite finished my race bike yet, I'm still working on the engine setup on the dyno. Once I'm finished I'll start a new thread with a C2 ebony and green restoration.

Good job Jarno

That Ultrasonic tank definitely works, those cases look very well! A bit better results than I get with my Jizer tank... Had to sit on my hands for the last couple of weeks of my rebuild but got the crank back Xmas eve so can get on again...
