i was looking at pjme for matika kits but will look into the shipping cost. i find the same issue with Tyga performance out of malaysia, sometimes the shipping is more than the part. im off work for the next 6 weeks (elbow surgery) so im collecting all the parts so that i can get into it when i get use of my arm again.
i will get that piston clearance measured too.

ok so ive been in touch to PJME and 22 pounds shipping to New Zealand is not too bad. I also started a list of other parts that im going to replace and it seems some are generic and readily available at my local engineering shop, some look like Kawasaki is the only option.
Kips seals = 8x14x4 - local supply
Output shaft seal = 17x29x5 = local supply
Gear shaft seal = 22x13x5.5 = Kawasaki?
Bearing counter shaft = 6205 (stepped) = Kawasaki?
Seal Case = 25x42x7 = kawasaki?
Counter ballance bearing = TM-sx038iC3 (pinned and stepped)= Kawasaki ?
R Front wheel seal = ag1258ao (cant measure, thrown out)
L Front wheel seal = 30x42x7 = local supply
Front wheel bearing = 6203UG = local supply
Rear wheel seal = 25x42x5 = local supply
rear wheel bearing = 6203 = Local supply
Water pump seal = kawasaki ?
Kips Linkages = going to go aftermarket, i like the look of the alloy rods that lee makes.
Can anyone fill in the blanks and suggest another supplier other than Genuine?

The water pump shaft oil seal (92049-1259) size is 12-28.5-5, marked NOK BC3230E.
The RH front axle bearing seal (92049-1110) size is 25(?)-40-6, marked NOK AG1258A. I haven't got the steel collar (92143-1335) to hand, so can't confirm whether the collar's outside diameter is 24 or 25. If yours is handy, you can probably confirm yourself.
The gear selector shaft seal (92051-005) has a metal outer and has no markings (size is 13-22-5.5, as you already know). There is a generic rubber-outer-type replacement (size 13-22-5) available, marked TTO B211 SC 13 22 5 1.
The balancer bearings (marked NTN TM SX0381 C3) were not available as separate pieces (at least not for the KR-1/1S). I think that they are the same basic size as the 6303, so you could buy 6303-C3 bearings and have them modified (stepped and pinned) to suit.
The gearbox input shaft ball bearing (92045-1013) should be grooved, not stepped. I think a 6205N will work here.

Been on this site for a while and even now I have learned a bit more, that's what I like about this site, great info just keeps coming and some great people to. Ok so I'm back into my engine rebuild, the matika pistons arrived but now I have an issue. I ordered my Pistons from PJME in the UK, which with freight were the cheapest of the 3 places I tried. I gave them measurements of my bore and they asked me what was stamped on the cylinder. They told me that my "B" stamped cylinders will need 55.96 Piston kits which they promptly sent out. I've just now tried fitting one to the cylinder and after working out which ring was which I found that the top ring fits nicely as you would expect but there is no way the bottom one is going in with the expander ring in place. The bottom ring ends don't even get close to the pin and won't compress enough to slide the cylinder on. If I take the expander ring out its seems fine.
Do I need it? What's the go here?

Yeah, it's all pretty logical. The wider ring in the top groove with the step mating up to the ring pin and the thinner ring with the expander on the bottom. Ring gap is fine with the expander removed and i found some old posts saying that some just bin them anyway so I opted to leave it out. Seems fine. I bolted it all up, looking good so far.

Glad you got it sorted Steve. There should have been no problem leaving the expander in, but I suppose it is too late now that you have left it out!
Opinion on using the expander is divided, but I generally leave it in (...it must be there for a reason ), particularly if the bottom ring is narrower to allow for it.

Ive always run the expander on my RGV Road bikes but always left them off my Race bikes, in fact ive run just the top ring before and had no real issue. i use vertex single ring pistons now days anyway.

Well, it’s only been three and half years but I moved house and everything was packed away until I could afford to build a nice new workshop to do the rebuild. Started putting it together last night and realised the chain rubber / buffer on the swing arm was useable but not pretty. What’s the go with these, I read they are NLA and then It looks like someone had Kawasaki remake some? Where are they at now. Some sites tell me NLA and some list a price?

It’s been 8 years since I pulled the bike apart so I’m finding little bits that need replacing. It’s hard enough trying to remember which bolt fits into what hole too.
