KR1S - Ebony, Finally back on the road
Posted: Wed Apr 22, 2015 9:19 pm
I bought the bike some time ago but winter and other stuff got in the way. Anyway after one or two rethinks ~I finally got a day to fix all the little niggles and put the bits on I wanted (well nearly)
Wheels have been powder coated (Prestige Wheels in Stockport) with new bearings (Simply Bearings)
Steering damper courtesy of bikemike on the forum
Not fitted but sat to one side in the shed an RGV 17" rear wheel (Suzukirace on e-bay) spacers by boggy from the forum, powder coated (as above) with carrier and disk from some e-bay supplier, and a sprocket (I ordered the wrong #teeth) B&C Express and a 150/60 BT090
Rectifier supplied by Electrexworld, comes with the correct plugs
Rear sets by Coerce from Webike in Japan with road (folding) footpegs
Paddock stand bobbins (14mm what's that all about) instead of the huge ugly bolt it came with (still ugly but not as ugly)
Carbs in the ultrasonic cleaner
Yellow number boards from classicmotorcycledecals (my application of these was awful, really awful) so they look dreadful
A bit of de greasing, one fairing panel fixed (split around a side fixing point) some white grease and some of the usual polish and back to black.
Last thing I need to do is give the front brake a service as a quick ride up the road didn't produce the stoppie I was expecting
And her she is with some of her sisters. The others too shy to come out plus there was no room in the garden
Coerce rear sets
