I have been advised to have newly rebuilt cranks welded for racing use.
Does anyone know exactly where they should be welded ?
Thanks
Ronnie

It's just people being paranoid and crude! some weak cranks on multi cylinder two strokes could twist the crank out of alignment so no longer 180 degree apart.

I wouldn't consider it

Stan Stephens would rack weld the drive gear on the end as during racing they can spin on the shaft slightly

Cheers
