thread in holes is stripped for tiny inspection cover screws, how to fix ,
any ideas thanks,

Bad luck BSA
Only real option is to drill it out, or drill a new hole next to the existing one and tap it, then slightly slot the hole in the cover until you get it to fit (or get another caliper).
It's normally exhaust studs that I manage to shear, at least there is something to have a go at, those fixings are seriously small

put a helicoil in and no one will know (see) but you

try a slightly longer screw, threads further in still possibly good.

Plus when you have done it , put a bit of copper slip on the threads
Are they tiny like M3 ? Maybe drill and tap one size up ?
