Looking at a standard piston there are four drilled holes in the piston body, these are to allow for lubrication, (so i have read) these holes are on the forward side of the piston, in other words they are on the side that faces the exhaust port.usafric wrote:OK I have seen the arrows before, but I dont have one on my new Mitaka piston, Help!!!
the most important thing with fitting 2-stroke piston's, is the pin that holds the ringsusafric wrote:OK I have seen the arrows before, but I dont have one on my new Mitaka piston, Help!!!

S'not always the same thing ! My KR tandem-twin had a top-end rebuild by the Kawasaki-trained mechanic who owned it before me, and he put 'em both in pointing forwards....JanBros wrote:the arrow on 2-stroke-piston's always points to the exhaust
I'd be very surprised if that's the right wayStrokerBoy wrote:S'not always the same thing ! My KR tandem-twin had a top-end rebuild by the Kawasaki-trained mechanic who owned it before me, and he put 'em both in pointing forwards....![]()
I just had a look on your own website, found the parts list, and guess what : check the arrows......JanBros wrote:I'd be very surprised if that's the right wayStrokerBoy wrote:S'not always the same thing !
