idle run problem

Post by dirk »

morning :)

in short..
..after i start my engine the idle is between 1.1 and ~ 1.3k.
Has the engine a little temp. and i play with the throttle it hangs arround ~2500.
After few seconds the engine rebound under 1k and goes off. :(
Impossible to adjust the idle.
Carbs are clean and cold start, throttle cable plays free.

Anyone an idea?

thanks

sounds like an air leak...spray around your carbs and inlets with carb cleaner or wd40...as its flammable it will be drawn into the engine and burnt and the revs will rise to let you know.....or fuel starvation...run it on prime......best of luck...
bring a ding ding i'm a throttle happy chappy...:)

you cant beat a bit of blue haze...

sure your idle screws are in the right position ? I think they are getting way to much air.

turning them in makes your mixture richer.
