Removing oil pump cable

Can anyone offer advice on the best way to remove the oil pump cable from the 3 way throttle cable joint.
I want to make sure it is removed completely and neatly and doesnt have any adverse affect on the throttle operation.
How does the 3 way junction box come apart ?
