KR1s high speed running - fuelling or jetting

The carbs on the S blocked again on Friday so on Saturday and thoroughly cleaned them again and fitted some in-line filters and now the bikes running better than ever before. The only glitch I have still is when you hammer it through the gears you change up into top and the bike struggles to accelerate and the speed just remains constant. The acceleration in all gears is very good and it pulls the redline in 1-5 but change into top and it bogs down a little.
The carbs are standard settings and jetting and I guess I could try raising the needle one notch?
Any thoughts would be great
