Yep, its a special tool. Got one in my garage though I don't think that'll help you ATM.

Yeah, that's the thing your after.

Personally, I'd just take it down to the local tyre service and get them to fit the new valve.

Fitting a new tyre valve AAAARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
