im building a 'fast' (second) motor purely for the fun of it and as i have a crank of unkown age lying around this will be a good place to start, rebuild it. i need to know which rods (part number) can be used as a alternative to kr1/s rods which i think a now nla. i seem to remember that kx rods could be used or could of been kdx? i have a crank guy who rebuilds yamaha cranks(parralel tz's are critical that there bang on as it increases power and life when there right) so im sorted there. were are seals/mains/big end etc sourced for best price/availability? i only want genuine parts were possible. sep did the crank in my motor that is in the bike now, pleased with there work btw. thanks in advance.

Matt

The main bearings are Koyo http://www.koyoseiko.com/

They are numbered 83A916C 3off and 6305N 1 off (this is the drive gear bearing)

Seals are
FJW 56 25 62 8 drive gear side
FWJ 56 25 55 10 centre seals
FWJ 52 25 50 10 Genny side

They are by ARS (Arai) http://www.arai-net.com/english/company/history.html

no idea where best to source them - I suggest giving PJ Engineering a call.
